Fit for Work Interview was created by despondent
I have had flu for almost 2 weeks and my post does not come through my door as I have no letterbox flap. Instead it is downstairs in a communal hallway. I last checked my post on Friday only because I was throwing out a really smelly bin bag. Today I opened my postbox downstairs and I had a letter dated 25th November and an appointment for yesterday. I am really stressed now as my money is going to be stopped, please help me as I can't stop shaking. I suffer from extreme anxiety and I do not check my post daily even when I am well. What can I do? I had an interview last March 2018 and I was so stressed they said I wouldnt have to have one for another 3 years, but one year later and they are asking me to attend again. I do not know what to do. How much notice should they give?

They are only required to give seven days notice which they just about have.
Contact Maximus immediately.

I would also contact the DWP office dealing with your claim to explain what has happened.
Did you see your GP or speak to your GP surgery about your being ill?

How have they given me 7 working days notice. It was not in my mailbox on Friday 29th November 2019. I assume it was posted 2nd class. I do not check my post every day even when I am not ill.

You said they sent it on 25 November and the appointment was yesterday, that is seven days.

i said it was dated 25th November, they could of sent it later, but it was not in my mail box on Friday 29th November. So is the 7 days from when they date the letter, even though they are sending it second class and might not post it on that day. My son pays all my bills I do not need to check my post more than once a week. Obviously if my mail came in my front door then i would look at it.

It is the date of the letter and Maximus will be able to show that it was posted on before that date.
Have you contacted Maximus and the DWP? What did they say?
