PBR

You have one month from the date of the Decision to request an MR, this is defined in law and cannot be extended. You can make a Late request for an MR up to 13 months after the Decision but you will need to provide reasons for the Late request and the DWP may not accept these.

Once you have made a request the DWP can allow you extra time to provide evidence and testimony for your MR, they usually allow 28 days but this does include postage time, in practice you may have longer but you should not rely on this.

Hi Gordon

So the the text regarding 10 weeks means nothing! As does the letter she claims will accompany the report?

Hi PBR Street Gang

The 10 weeks is the time frame DWP have given you to allow them to reconsider your claim. What they may have done is used your phone call as a request for a MR, unless you said on the phone that your call was not a request for a MR. If you have any additional supporting documents then still send them in.

It will be interesting to see what the contents of the DWP letter says.

Hi Gary

Firstly thanks again.

There is no support in my area. I have tried close on to eight organisations including the CAB. If its not staff shortages, its funding etc and as for the help ion completing the MR..no one can assist.

I even took a chance and contacted a couple pf solicitors a week ago, who specialise in MR's
(or so they claim) and I'm still waiting for them to call back.

Yes I was willing to pay and deplete any savings I have!

That said, I'm stuck and I now clearly was unprepared for this diction not through complacency
but its the way it has been refashioned.

Hi PBR Street Gang

The way I go about completing a MR is I go through the assessors report carefully with a highlight pen highlighting anything that is incorrect, once I have completed the report I then complete a CRMR1 form assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/governm...sion-made-by-dwp.PDF, you can use extra pages but make sure they have your name and national insurance number on each page and number the pages if it is more than one, I also write cont: on the bottom of the page if I used extra sheets and write continuation on the top of the page of the extra sheet of paper along with name and NI number.

As stated at the begining of this thread, use our guides to help you get through the MR process, they are well written and will take you through the process step by step.

Keep a copy of the CRMR1 form when you send it off.

Hi Gary

I received the HP's report and have also read the B & W guide;

PIP, 50 Ways To Challenge a Medical Report.

I am in the process of writing up my response and I will stick to the facts,
some of which I can and would like to share with you but I am also aware
that, some of these forums are watched and monitored.

That said could I submit a statetement of my experience rather then a point by
point submission?

Best Wishes
Paul
