Hello FightMS

I am waiting for a decision on my PIP application.

The lengthy questionnaire only has very small boxes, much too small for me to complete by hand. I opted instead to create additional pages of information, for pretty much ever question using WORD on my old MacBook, that meant I could save the pages, edit & correct where & when necessary. It also allowed me time to ‘sleep’ on an answer & invariably change it.

Do try and not let the ‘Whole’ questionnaire get you down, easier said than done, I know. If you’re struggling for time to complete the questionnaire, you can ask for an extension, I ended up with 2 which allowed me an extra 4 weeks & I didn’t ask for either, but it certainly reduced my stress level a little bit.

I wish you well in your PIP application and the Moderators are really very helpful and know loads of stuff so don’t hesitate to post here with any query or questions. Even some of the members will chip in at times.

Best wishes
Sue

Thanks Sue and Garry. Really appreciate the support and guidance. I have all my answers ready on a dummy form but copied an answer for incontinence on to washing and bathing section. Had a complete brain fog last night. I will ask my husband to fill the rest of the form and and in additional section, will mention that I have made this mistake and write the correct answer. As suggested by you both, I will type additional answers in word and attach them in the end for each question. My deadline for submission is 5th march. I will send the form away on this saturday recorded delivery so they get it by monday at the latest. Thanks a lot. Feel much better now that I have shared with you all. X

Hello again

It is advisable to put both your name and national insurance number on all your additional sheets. After you have made a copy of your completed questionnaire, if you can, return it by a tracked and signed for service. I have sent mine back by Recorded Delivery, as the pre-paid envelopes were too small for my completed questionnaires, ESA & PIP, I used larger envelopes and stuck the pre-paid, return envelope on the front and paid the difference which was £1.90 for my PIP questionnaire and £1.20 for my ESA.

I know it's a huge relief when you reach the end of your PIP questionnaire and it's on it's way back. Try not to worry too much now, you've done your best to answer the numerous questions as well as you can so worrying about it further will not change anything, it will only drain your precious energy reserves.

Best wishes
Sue
