Rang the DWP and after waiting on the phone for 1hour almost to the minute, an advisor answered and said something that was garbled, I answered with, "Hello can I give you my NI number?" the reply was a very stern, "I asked! "What was your reason for ringing!" I said "oh sorry! Its about non payment of...then he hung up! Rang the next day with a 45 minute wait and a very helpful advisor looked into my claim and after some time told me that there is nothing wrong my payment process, it is set to auto and there has been no recent changes so it should go through. I mentioned that despite it all being correct, it hasn't gone through the last 3 times in a row now? He basically repeated what he had already said and that I should ring 2 days before my next due date to ask if it's auto processed for payment. (I have of course already done that) He didn't appear to have any other solution to offer?

Hi Mr H
Sorry this happening to you. It's very unsatisfactory. In the current circumstances, it's likely to be difficult to get anything resolved (though in my view it shouldn't for something like this which is an admin error). The only other thing I can suggest is putting in an official complaint to the DWP. It won't be held against you for doing so, but sometimes a complaint does help to focus their mind on something. Not saying it will work, but it might.

We had similar Devon when we both lost our PIP Daily Living. I’m sure they sent 2 of almost every letter telling us tif the changes. I didn’t expect the money to be in this time either, but it was thank God.
Hope you both get it sorted out soon!
