Are you saying that my existing ESA award will be automatically transferred to UC? Even if I don't apply for UC?

If you claim UC then your ESA award will be transferred across to UC.
At some time in the future, all Income Related ESA awards will be moved across to UC.

Therefore, I have to make a claim for UC - to be transferred?
