Thanks everyone for your sage words of advice.
I am writing the appeal now, and am going through the descriptors, just listing the evidence we have submitted in support. I am also pointing out the lack of any analysis of the decision, weighing up of the evidence, or any reference whatsoever to any evidence other than the assessor's report. You would think that this may prompt someone to actually read the evidence, but I am not entirely hopeful!!

Ok, it is done!! My son and I both got the confirmation so that is good. No we have to wait for the DWP to respond...so more waiting.
