Hi just had dreaded app for my adult son pip review via telephone for next week. The appointment letter address to me as I act on his behalf and am his appointee . My question is do I answer the questions on his behalf or he is expected too?
You are his appointee and therefore you have been mandatated by the DWP to answer questions on his behalf. Do not, under any circumstances, let an assessor bully you into letting them speak to him. He does not have to give his permission - he has already done this when you became his appointee. You say not the assessor. Some assessors will try dirty tricks and say that it's a safeguarding issue and they need to speak to him first. This is rubbish, and you refuse politely. Best of luck
