Hi Lindseyf
Posts do not appear until they have been seen by a moderator and approved and then we reply - so yes, your posts are all there.
The safeguarding question is just nonsense and is being used as a way of them saying they need to speak to the claimant. They don't, and if you challenge it and say - 'Please contact social services if you have a safeguarding issue' - they will immediately retract or say they are going to speak to their supervisor and then retract. There is no safeguarding issue.
If you have any other questions, do ask.

Thanks Bis
This is the first review thats been undertaken and Im not sure what to expect.....as its a review do they just ask questions from the form or is it like a brand new claim when they can ask anything .....the review was sent back last june so its taken about a year of worrying!!
Since we did review form over a year ago my son has got a little part time job at the club i go to gym at......if they ask I got no problem advising what he does (it's never really busy and he mostly clears tables and collect glasses} however if they ask do I have to give employers details? I'd rather not as don't want to bother them with questions from department!

Hi Lindseyf
If you look at the Guide to PIP claims and Reviews - and find telephone assessments - it will give you some idea of the questions you may get asked. page 109 onwards).
Sometimes they will throw in a curve ball ie a question you are not expecting - so if you don't know - just say you don't know. I don't think the assessor will be interested in the name of the place your son is working. Don't offer information they are not asking for - it is the easiest way to get caught out.
Don't be deceived by a nice, sympathetic assessor - they may be that, but many people have found to their cost later that the assessor scored them badly. I know this is new to you - make sure that you ask for the assessment to be recorded, and if you can record it yourself *which you don't have to tell them about) Do not trust them to provide you with a recording - too many people get told there is something wrong with the equipment.
I probably sound negative and have worried you more - but I just want you to be alert. There are some kind assessors and I have dealt with some that do really care - but you can't avoid that it is not an easy system to navigate and there are some absolute horrors.
I hope it goes really well for you.

Thanks Bis for explaining why I couldnt see my posts!!!
If the assessor asks for the name of his employer would I have to give it?? my son is in a melt down about it!!!!
Also any idea about how long from the interview to finding out about the decision?
Many thanks
Lindsey

Hi Lindseyf
I honestly don't think you will be asked - because it won't mean anything to the assessor - but even if they do they are not suddenly going to contact the employer. If they do ask you will have to be truthful, but try saying it is a local business first.
The time from assessment to decision can vary. The current time frame that the DWP give is anything from 8 - 12 weeks, but don't depend upon it.

Looking back at the review form I have realised that since completing over a year ago my son has on the fifth time passed his driving test and can drive.
He rarely does un accompanied and we always have to go with him a few times to help him plan for unexpected situation and plan the journey...he can follow a sat nav...he will simply turn left as soon as it says.....my question is is there any guidance on how to score points for this or do I have to post as a new subject?
Feeling sick about it
Kind regards
Lindsey
