Important to say that although it is highly likely to happen, the law has not YET changed and so don't assume there will be a 12 month time limit for contrib ESA though be mentally prepared that it is more likely than not

A little confused . My ESA starts on
2/12/11. I thought I have 12 months on it
until any change can be made i.e. the
ending of payments. Or, have I misunderstood, or been misinformed?

So you will continue to receive ESA(CB) until this date, even though this will result in a total of 14 months. If your start date was April 2011, then you would only receive the benefit for 12 months.
Hope this explains it.

The legislation will not come into effect until April 2012, it is only at this point that anybody who has been in the WRAG will be effect by the 365 day rule.A little confused . My ESA starts on

If the ESA starts from December of this year, why will it not run until December of next year? Does time on IB count?
(sorry, just trying to learn and understand about this!)

so,
thank you. It is likey then, though
not CONFIRMED OR SET IN STONE, that in my case Esa may well last until 2.12.2012,
because the legislation doesn't come into effect until April 2012?
From your earlier response I was
reading my situation as ESA starts 2.12.2011 ....ends April 2012!
