Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Whilst there is aset time period for appeals, there is no such cut-off for complaints. However, as a general rule, I would suppose that a complaint would carry more weight if it was made a short time after the event.

If you want to complain about the quality of the medical, then you can do this, irrelevant of whether it was recorded or not.
In both cases, you should address your complaint to ATOS rather than the DWP, as they are the party responsible for managing this part of the assessment process. See

If you wish to complain that your medical was not recorded despite requesting it be done, then I think your attending it, may make it unlikely that you will be seen to have cause.am i to late to complain to dwp about my medical i did not have it recorded on the day but i requested one before hand so can i still complain

Several members (and others reported elsewhere) have been told that they have no option - if they do not take an unrecorded medical then they will be treated as if they have failed to attend.
Others may have turned up expecting that their medical would be recorded and then been told that there was no equipment available, and been too worried/intimidated/uninformed to say that they are refusing to take the medical until recording equipment has turned up.
bh could also follow up your link to the Harrington enquiry to complain there. It might not help her/him, but would assist others by highlighting this issue.
Surely this will depend on the circumstances.buntiehare wrote:

There is now a template letter available "Letter asking for your medical to be recorded" which can be used if you wish to have a medical assessment recorded. See:-
ESA resources.
The letter should at the very least provide some food for thought for both Atos and the DWP!
