Hi bro58
Like the appeals prevention officer bit! in my case not prevention officer thank god!!! but seriously when I sent my GL24 appeal form in a few weeks ago along with all the medical reports etc that i had already sent to them with my ESA50 form a few months ago, appealing that I should be in the SG not the WRAG, a couple of weeks later, and i have the decision letter infront of me of the good news made by this person to put me in the SG from WRAG, it as got the persons name and in brackets (APPEALS OFFICER) nothing mentioned of another (DECISION MAKER) made this decision??

Im certainly not going to contest that one :cheer:

Hi s41,

Thanks for the response. :)

As I said, "Appeals Officer" is still a new one on me. :)

However, they are always giving new titles to people, probably to try and confuse us poor Mods.

I still think that "Appeals Prevention Officer" is a better title though, as by reviewing your award, and placing you into the SG, he has in fact prevented an appeal, and the need to go forward to The Appeals Tribunal Service.

Anyway, the main thing is that you were successful. :)

It is a well-known management strategy to give workers a fancy title rather than paying them adequately...
