As you are receiving IB, which is a Contribution Based benefit, you will be transferred to ESA(CB), you originally qualified for IB because of your NI Contribution history that was built up when you worked.

Income Related ESA is paid to those on low income.

If you receive an Income Support top-up with your IB then you should receive an ESA(IR) top-up to your ESA(CB). If you do not, at the end of the year, you may still be eligible for ESA(IR) dependant on your income, assets, and how many hours your partner works.
