froggylegs wrote: Hi, my file is almost ready to return to ATOS. It has 52 additional pages so far which include additional sheets answering the questions and also 38 pages of medical evidence (i have several health conditions).
Should I include photocopies of all my appointment letters from the last 12 months? I am worried about boring them to death, as I said there are already 52 additional pages.
Many thanks
If they contribute to your evidence, then you should certainly think about including them, but if you do, find some way to make the information more accessible, for example include an index with a one sentence explanation of each letter.
If they do not add to what you have already included. then there may be no value and increasing the "bulk" of your ESA50 may not be to your advantage.

I have sectioned the evidence into each separate condition and done an index referring to the different conditions, i hadn't thought of a more detailed index. Maybe i need to do some more work on it

It is up to you, but when you have a lot of content, you need to think of ways to make sure the DM does not just read it, but absorb the information so it becomes part of their decision process, part of that is making it easy for them to find what they are looking for.

However i have seen mod(s) say recently that there is less need for this than the used to be, I think it might have been Gordon posted it in a couple of topics. Could I ask why this is? I understand that ultimately it is my decision whether or not to send a copy to the DM but would appreciate the current pros and cons on this.
Many thanks.

hi, i posted off my ESA50 with additional info and medical evidence to ATOS yesterday. I was intending to send a identical copy to the Decision Maker at the DWP.

There used to issues when a claimants file was being returned to the DWP after an assessment where evidence became detached from the ESA50 and on occasion was lost, as a result our advice was to send a copy to both ATOS and the DWP.
This problem seems to have been addressed by a change of procedure and we have not heard of a case for over a year.
To be honest, if you ignore the cost of producing a second copy and sending it to the DWP, there are no cons, as to pros, well the DWP will have a full copy.
