Current DWP policy, it is not covered by the legislation, is not to forward claimants appealing to the SG onto the Work Programme.
I am aware of claimants who have been put on the WP at their first WFI, anybody with a re-assessment period of 12 months or less will likely be forwarded, they are looking at also doing so for claimants with 18 and 24 month periods.

Hi Brian
I am maybe a bit late in posting here, I had my first WFI and was asked if I had put an appeal in to which I answered "yes" at that point I was told that was it for my WFI.
In all about 10 minutes or maybe less, was keept waiting for nearly 30 minutes prior to the actual interview, very annoying.
Was asked basic questions, did I own my own property, what was my last job, how long employed there, nothing to deep, that was about it, I asked when my next WFI would be but said they were unsure, I now realise that was probably due to having put an appeal in and the JCP had no idea of the outcome.
This is just my experience of the WFI process, the advisor was pleasent and curtious to me during the short interview, so I would not worry yourself about the WFI, as the saying goe's "there bark is worse than there bite" its more the percived thought of what might be as its an unknown until you go through a WFI.
I was moved from WRAG to SG on appeal.
Regards, Derek
