Molly98 wrote: Hi am still going through the form with help from your guides and just wondered about the face to face assessment question. My local centre is on the first floor with a lift and stairs, am asking for a home visit anyway, but in case I have to go shall I mention on the form that as I can't use the stairs in the event of an emergency I will need an alternative venue, or wait to see if I have to attend one first and mention it then? Many thanks
You certainly should, you may well be asked at about this if you have to attend at an assessment centre and they may not let you in to the building if you are unable to use the stairs.
You will need the support of your GP if you are to arrange a home visit, as ATOS will need them to confirm in writing that you cannot attend at their offices.

Good advice from Gordon.
You may wish to consider all aspects of having to attend a face to face, including any "Reasonable Adjustments" that you may require once in the building.
If you fulfill the : Definition of a Disabled Person under EA2010 , you could make a formal written request for any "Reasonable Adjustments", as covered under : Sections 20 to 22 of EA2010
They may take more notice of such a request.

Am hoping for support group without assessment, but will see, it's now just the dreaded waiting to hear time!
