Do not take my words as implying that you do not qualify, that is not my intention, but it is important that you answer the questions on the ESA50 with clarity, you can have the best case for being awarded the benefit, but if the Decision Maker cannot understand the point you are trying to make, you can end up scoring nothing.

Now that you have explained your eye problems, I would think you have a strong case in regard to Descriptor 8, especially as there is empirical evidence that you can submit showing the level of your disability.

If you have mental health problems and experience issues in regard to questions 11-17, then you most certainly should complete these sections, there is no harm in drawing your eye problems to your answers, but do it as an after thought rather than leading with them.

Do not get hung up on the underlying reasons why you might score points, some issues are clear like your scoring points in the mental health section due to your eyesight, but others are much less clear.

Although the regulations have changed, there is no definitive guide to how the DM will take into account the effects of a physical problem, a mental health problem, or one that spans both, and that includes the effects of medication, complete the sections that you feel are relevant to you, the worst they can do is not give you any points, but if you do not put anything then you definitely will not score points.
