Appeal Postponed At Last Minute

Have read your posts, very poor show from the Tribunal service, but as Gordon said there may be a problem with getting the panel together for some reason.
Very frustrating for you both as it takes a lot out of you building up for that day only to get the rug pulled.
I wish you both the very Best of Luck when you finally get to the tribunal, stay positive and keep focused on what your goal is, the right decision for you both.
Regards, derek

As far as I am aware, if the panel have requested further evidence, it will not be the DWP doing this, then it would result in an adjournment not a postponement, nor would the DWP looking at your claim again, result in the hearing being delayed either.
I would also recommend that you continue to pursue your GP for the letter, as the Tribunal panel will not ask them for a report, only a copy of your medical records, if they require a medical report then this would be done by a court appointed assessor.

I have received the letter from the tribunal. It is indeed an adjournment.
In addition to the main points of my submission, I also included Crazy Diamond's submission on conversion appeals. The DWP have been given 28 days to respond to this part of my submission.
At present, there are 3 cases before the Upper Tribunal considering the competence of the DWP conversion letter.
There is also a medical consent form to sign, to give permission to obtain medical records from my GP. The accompanying letter says 'medical report' while the decision letter says GP notes.
Does the tribunal generally ask for a complete set of notes or a summary? I already have a 3 page summary from my GP.
Many Thanks,
YT

I had a Tribunal adjournment last year, they also asked me to sign a medical consent form.
Two weeks later, a letter was sent out to me that a HCP was coming to assess me in my home, with a seven day appointment notice

Yes, it usual for them to request your full medical records, they have a responsibility to inquire into your case, so the letter your GP has produced, whilst evidence, presents only a limited view of your medical history.

A request for medical records will not necessarily result in a medical also being booked, certainly it would only be relevant if the Decision that was being appealed was made without an ATOS assessment being carried out.
