Hi Bro58,

Thanks for your reply, but this isn't to do with the online ESA50.

This is to do with a page of information on this site, exactly where I've pinpointed, in the 'Members Only Guides' section on this website. You click on 'Members Only Guides' on the menu on the left hand side of the page (outside the 'frame' of the forum), then a sub-heading comes up directly underneath, 'ESA', click on that and up comes a subheading under 'ESA' that says 'Online Form', click on that and up comes a page headed 'Help with Online WCA form'. The introductory paragraph reads :

"These notes are intended to help you complete the online questionnaire. They are simply our attempt to interpret the new work capability assessment and should not be considered as authoritative or to have any legal standing whatsoever.

We will be publishing detailed guides to the new work capability assessment when it is in force at the end of March. "

and then follows a page of notes that seem to revolve directly around the descriptors in the legislation for limited capability for work related activity.

So I'm wondering if there's now an online form I need to be potentially ready for, and to see, preferably, that needs to be filled in when attending a WCA interview - as this page seems to be [uwritten by this site giving guidance on how to fill such a form in![/u]

I only came across it last week and it was a surprise to me - perhaps I'm just being ignorant and it's well known to many.

Thank you!

CTTS

You can ignore this reference as it has not been superseded by the updated guides.

We received very little notification that there was going to be a change to the ESA Descriptors and Regulations, I seem to remember that the legislation was passed in mid December but no one was aware of it until early January, and it came into effect from 28 January.

Unlike previous amendments, which replaced specific Descriptors and Regulations with new versions, this change amended the existing ones, so it was not easy to work out what the changes were; as an example

"in paragraph (2), insert “Subject to paragraph (3)” at the beginning of the paragraph"

So the Site Owner was rushed to get some level of guidance available until the guides were updated, which is what this page is about.

And you are the first person to have spotted it, I certainly did not know that it existed.

Please note that I think the first line of Gordon's post (above) should read 'has now been superseded' rather than 'has not been superseded'!
