Hi MW,

I am afraid that not much can be taken from this, with respect to when an individual may be migrated.

They could be behind schedule nationally, but ahead of schedule locally in any particular area.

So, as far as people waiting for that brown envelope to drop through the letterbox are concerned, it could happen anytime between now and when the migration process is finished.

The only thing that I have noticed, is that at the start of the process, the DWP stated that SDA recipients would be migrated last.

As far as I am aware, non of our member migrated thus far have been SDA recipients.

What I find that is interesting on this migration process is how and why does ones name come up for assessment and when it does in the first place.
For example.
My neighbour had her first letter re ESA in Aug 2011 and was in receipt of HB/ LR DLA mob & care/IB etc and in a housing assoc house. Our last names are no where near each other in the alphabet and I received my initial contact with them in September 2011 and live in my own property and was in receipt of IB for life along with High rate DLA Care & Mobility but not in receipt of HB etc.

It just seemed odd we both started more or less the same time and from the same street, yet many others we know of in our location did not get any contact until late 2012 and moreover many many others have had no contact.

I discussed this with our GP practice at a patient fed meeting and it was mentioned that out of the many people they are aware of in receipt of IB very few have been migrated to ESA, hence the practice lack of understanding of the process .

Hi

I do not think there is any reason to it, my review date for IB was April 2014 yet I was first assessed for ESA last summer and have just submitted my ESA renewal form. My surname is near the beginning of the alphabet. I wrongly assumed that I would be migrated over near my IB re-assessment date as that is what I was led to believe but that was totally out. I think the DWP are a law unto themselves.
