PIP REVIEW was created by worrywart
HI I had my PIP review and completed and sent back, my condition actually has got worse owing to further surgical complications .
I’ve had a letter from Capita so I assume I’m going to have another face to face. The original award wasn’t due to end until August 19 and based on the fact and evidence things are worse, I naively hoped they would just renew it for a few years .
Are all reviews sent to capita or have I just been unlucky ?

I don't have any statistics for reassessments but my impression is that the rate of Paper Based Review is higher than it is for new claims but the vast majority of claimants will still have a face to face assessment.

I know that Capita acknowledges receipt of the claim forms, I don't think that ATOS do this, so the letter does not mean that you will automatically have a F2F, an assessor can still choose otherwise.

An update,
I have a face to face on Friday. I’m really worried as I confirmed n my pip review things has got worse or no change and sent in good solid evidence but still a face to face has been arranged for Friday , at my home.
My main health issues stem from an abdominal fistula which means I have 3 stoma bags . I need help daily, a lot of help owing to constant leakage etc. During the last face to face two years ago when I made my initial claim they almost overlooked managing toilet needs and just awarded me 2 points because have to use an appliance ( stoma bag), I did however get 6 points for managing treatments , they almost treated the fistula as a wound. It is a complex thing and I don’t think they really understood why this ‘wound’ doesn’t heal. Fistula don’t heal , they pretty much always need surgery and I’m too high risk,
I’m just worried about it all and wondered if anyone else has been through a review when things have got worse and what was the outcome.
Thank you

Thank you Ellen.
Well my assessment has been, last Friday, this was a review but it lasted two hours and I was worn out afterwards. She was pleasant enough. She went through all my conditions s from the least serious ( exzema) to the most serious ( enterocutaneous fistula ). She asked how each of my cinditjons affected me and whether I’d been hospitalised because of them. It was quite difficult as my fistula causes many other problems so they are all linked,
She actually looked at my stomach and three stoma bags and said what a mess the surgery had caused, she seemed understanding but I’m not sure or confident, she didn’t ask to see my bathroom and she didn’t even mention the exercises . She did give me the opportunity to talk about my psychological problems.
So watch this space, I’m too scared at the moment to ring for the report as I don’t want it arriving Christmas Eve,
