Completing the GL24 Appeal form is covered in our ESA Appeal guide, you do not need to go into detail as to your reasons.

Thanks Gordon, got Appeal reasons posted following morning so one thing off my mind.

I am now detailing reasons as to why I feel I meet several descriptors for support group. Is it advisable to send these in as soon as I complete them or is it best to wait until I receive all the paperwork from DWP and their reasons for disagreeing with me?

There should be a good answer to this but unsurprisingly where the DWP is concerned, there is not!

If you can wait then I would do so, as it will assist you in making a response, but I would not wait longer than four weeks before considering sending something anyway. The Decision Maker should allow you the time to submit your reasons, but they will not wait forever and more importantly, they will not warn you that they have finished waiting.

Thanks Gordon. I have everything more or less prepared just to finalise bits and pieces. My thinking is the more I give them the more they have to come back at me, the less I give them the better chance I might have hopefully to see what reasons they are fighting me on.

Once again thanks for your help, I have really appreciated all the help from everyone and would be at a total loss without it, it makes everything less stressful having people to help along the way and I probably actually wouldn't have even made it into WRAG if it hadn't been for this site.

I always think that wishing a member good luck is wholely inappropriate, as luck should have nothing to do with the process, but Good Luck :)

First decision and reconsideration remained the same. Sent in appeal, received letter saying they are looking at my case again and will advise me of outcome, it might not be necessary to go to appeal but if it is they will send me out documents? Any ideas what this means, never had this before.
