dla to attendance allowance was created by kelly
I was afew months away from the age of staying on dla, my condition had worsened but I didn't request reassament a si didn't want to lose the lower rate I had aready- now I have to change to pip so it remains to be seen but could I have just applied for attendance allowance instead of PIP

Hi Kelly,
Yes, you could have chosen to apply for AA instead of PIP if you are over 65. There is no mobility element of AA.
If your PIP claim should be disallowed, you still have the option of applying for AA.

thankyou why didn't dwp tellme that I could have applied for AA instead I would rather have done that- I have leftof vital info and played down my abilities instead of at my worst I am so stupid

I'm sorry but I don't understand
AA is no different from PIP, neither should be based on your claiming purely on how you are only when you are at your worst.

dear gorgen see mrs hurtybacks answer above, she said if I get turned down for pip I can go for AA i am old enough, pip is connected with atos and capita isn't it but AA isn't??

As far as I am aware ATOS still provide the DWP with medical support for DLA and AA.
