Severe Disability Premium. was created by joydivision
Hello,I would like some advice about the SDP,I believe I meet the criteria for this benefit and have been told by Citizens Advice to put in for this.
If I was awarded the SDP would I have to pay some or all of the ward to pay for care, like my PIP award for Daily Living goes towards my care costs.
I think the SDP is £61 per week,I live in my own home by my self.
Does anyone on the forum receive this benefit.

Thanks for reading this.

I would expect your Local Authority to treat the SDP as additional income, whether this will mean that you have to pay more towards your care is a question that only they can answer.
