The Descriptors and Regulations are the same, with some renaming.

Will the new ESA(IR) equivalent be given a new name under UC? Must be some terminology to differentiate those 'on the dole' seeking work and those on 'the sick'?

Is that true you won't be able to claim PIP and UC?
Why would they say you will be worse off, but you think you would be better off? Does not seem to make sense.

Most certainly not, these are separate benefits and there is no reason why both cannot be claimed at the same time.

I am wondering how much difference it makes having a specialist to support an ESA claim rather than just a GP?
Does GP evidence make much difference? Or is it all just down to what you say on ESA 50 form and it meets the descriptors?
People often seem to say they don't read/take notice of letters from GPs etc? No idea how true all this is.

After first claiming ESA, how long does it usually take to get the first payment into your bank account, after submitting the form? This would be at the assessment rate, how much is this? Would it be topped by any income support if that still exists?
And does assessment rate ESA entitle you to free prescriptions/dental care etc?
