Have been awarded support group ESA
I was informed that I have to wait 91 days before award is added to my claim, I am in a fully digital area. I have been on sick leave since January 2017 and have given the DWP UC documents outlining my preexisting condition at the beginning of my claim. Am I entitled to have the award from the start of the claim as I can prove that I would have met the descriptors at that time?

Congratulations on the award, well done.

I'm afraid there is an mandatory Assessment period at the start of the claim and an award can only be made once this is completed.
