ESA Support Group F2F Assessment Cancelled was created by belarion
I attended my ESA Support Group F2F Assessment yesterday at a Maximus run centre, and upon arrival was told by the reception staff that it had been cancelled due to them over-running time - this was in the later afternoon.
They insisted that had called my mobile in the morning the same day to inform me of this.
I had received no such call, and later checked thoroughly for evidence of this (missed calls/ voicemail/ text notifications) - there were none.
I can see — from searching on here — that others have experienced the same recently.
The reception staff only gave vague information that it would now be re-booked, 'most probably' for after xmas, and I would receive another letter with the new appointment.
Could you please advise me as to:
1. Is the anything I should now do regarding this ?
i.e. write to the DWP informing them that Maximus cancelled the appt at last minute ?
As in your thread here: www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/forum1?view=topic&catid=10&id=107189
2: When do you think the assessment will now be rescheduled till ? Can I find this out myself?
3: Is it possible to make some complaint / have some redress with regards to this as they evidently did not call me as they maintained they did? (I can easily obtain legal mobile phone records for these purposes).
If anyone else has experienced the above let me know similarly.
Thanks greatly for any assistance.

I would contact the DWP as suggested and if you want make a complaint to Maximus see
www.chdauk.co.uk/contact-us
I can't give you any indication of when a new appointment will be booked, if Maximus have booked one already then you will receive notification through the post quite quickly, if they haven't then even they can't tell you when.

Thanks greatly Gordon.
I will draft a letter tomorrow and send it Recorded delivery.
Would it be of any use to include 'evidence' that I attended?
If so, what kind ?
Then also there's the evidence that I was not contacted via mobile regarding the cancellation...

If you have evidence, for example a taxi receipt of ticket from Public Transport then include a copy with your complaint, similarly for the "phone call".
