esa and still suppling sick notes. was created by mr s
Hello,
Finally , I have been moved on to esa from jsa at the assessment rate awaiting my appeal.
I've been informed that I still need to supply fit notes(Sick note).
Is this correct as I have changed GP's recently and my new doctor has no real experience of my (long standing) condition and its becoming a bit of a fight trying to get these notes from the new GP.
Any help please.
Mr S.

Yes you must continue providing Fit Notes until an award is made and put into payment.

Hi Gordon,
By "Award" do you mean the first payment of my reinstated esa or after "hopefully" winning my appeal ?
When I contacted the dwp to reinstate my esa and close down my jsa claims I was informed that as yet I have not won my appeal so while on esa at the assessment rate I am required to supply sick notes until my appeal hearing date. Is this correct ?
Sorry for not being clearer in my last post.
Thanks again,
Mr S.

You need to send in Fit Notes until a Decision is made at your Tribunal and if an award is made, until it is put into payment.
