Being in the SG or the WRAG has nothing to do with whether you ESA is means tested or not, it's the type of ESA that you are receiving that makes a difference.
For Income Related ESA a pension will be deducted £ for £.
For Contribution Based ESA there is an £85/week disregard followed by a £1/week deduction for every £2 in excess of the £85.
For a mixed claim deductions will be applied to the ESA(IR) first followed by the ESA(CB) with any remaining pension.
If you were transferred from Incapacity Benefit then your pension may be disregarded in regard to any ESA(CB) you receive.
