Dear Benefits and Work,
My dad received his PIP2 form approximately a week ago. He's tranferring from DLA to PIP. The apparent deadline for the DWP receiving this form and any supporting evidence is: 05/02/18. We've just completed the PIP2 form itself but I would estimate that supporting letters may not return to us for another 2-3 weeks, which will leave getting all the information to the DWP near impossible on time.
When I took the intitial telephone interview for my dad, the gentlemen I spoke to at the DWP said that when the form came through,
if we needed an extension, we were to all a certain number that he gave us.
Do you know if this has been known before? How long an extension can they give you? Should we be cautious of this?
And why don't the DWP give you more time to collect supporting evidence?
Kind regards,
BlueBear.
