I am about to make my telephone claim for PIP and understand i will be asked for the name of a health prof who can support my claim. Should i also approach her myself and ask for a statement - if the DWP are going to ask her as well ? I want to provide as much evidence with my claim as possible but not if DWP are going to do so as well - dont want to drive her mad!
Our recommendation is that you source any evidence that you want considered as part of your claim yourself. The assessor is not required to contact your medical contacts and in reality they rarely do.
