Hi, I lodged my appeal against the decision to stop my DLA payments, which the Tribunal Service received on 26/05/17. I have a letter ststing this. Since then I have heard nothing at all, no letter, email or phone calls. The last contact I had with them was when I made a phone call mid-December to check progress...they said there was a shortage of judges to deal with all the appeals. They said I should hear early January, but still so far, nothing. How much longer is a reasonable wait,, I wondered how long the "average" wait for a hearing date was; how others have got on in the same position as I. Many thanks for any advice.
There is some variation from one region to another, from what we are seeing on the forum average wait time is around six months but this figure is increasing, cities will tend to be quicker although they also have more appeals to deal with, rural areas are usually longer.
All I can suggest is that you contact the Tribunal Service regularly for an update.
