Hi

PLEASE HELP ASAP!! I am farely good at filling in DLA and now PIP forms as have been successful in applying for Hubby, myself, two daughters and my eldest son, previously my late mother and my big sister is seeking my help to complete hers now too. (I know it sounds like a lot of family members but we are genuinely receiving these benefits not fraudsters just an unlucky family. my eldest son who has ME/CFS and his (childhood) epilepsy has returned after 18 years, he is being asked to complete an "Award Review- how your disability affects you". I usually leave the forms till last minute (stupid I know but somehow I'm better at completing them in this way, under pressure. I put his form to one side assuming it was a renewal form cos I knew it ran out beginning of nest year and just thought they were sending it early. Never completed one of these and it somehow seems harder than normal form. He really can't afford to loose as its his only income at 22 (he lost his esa in September 2016 despite asking for reconsideration) He's unable to work as he's at college and although his attendance is poor due to health he's in his 3rd year and finishes in the summer. He's not likely to be able to work full-time when he finishes college because of his health. I am about to reapply for esa again for him as GP supports with sick notes plus his depression seems to have crept up again and epilepsy is causing him regular migraines and headaches. Is there anywhere on this site (I've just renewed my subscription which ran out last month to get some advice- although on/off have been a member for several years) that helps with completing this silly form which just seems to be a harder version of the main form. If there isn't a guide can anyone offer any advice. As I say it is urgent as I need to complete and return by 10/2/18. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ALL ADVICE/HELP GRATEFULLY RECEIVED. I AM TERRIFIED OF COMPLETING THIS FORM AND HIM LOOSING PART OF OR ALL OF HIS MONEY. He currently receives enhanced living and standard mobility.

Regards

If you need extra time to complete the form then contact the DWP, the number will be on the letter that accompanied the form.

The PIP Claim guide has a section that covers completing the AR1 and the issues that the form presents.

Your son is being assessed against the same criteria as before, so make sure that it is clear that she meets the PIP Descriptors.

As he has a fluctuating condition it is really important that you clearly identify how he is effected and for how long, he can only score points for how he is on the majority of days.

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
