Waiting for backdated ESA lump sum from MR period

I am on reduced ESA while waiting for an appeal. I have received two fortnightly payments of roughly £250. But I am still waiting for the almost £1500 I am owed from early October to early January. This covers the period from when my original ESA (Support Group) was 'disallowed' to when my appeal started. This period is covered by a backdated fit note from my GP, and I have a letter saying that the amount has already been 'issued' to me. Where is it then? DWP staff have confirmed (both face to face and by phone) that I will receive the money - but none of them were able to tell me when.

It's possible that the amount needs authorisation by a manager and this is the reason for the delay.

The important thing is that they have accepted that the money is payable, I would chase them every week or so for an update. If goies to a month then consider involving your MP.
