Hi,

I am on PIP Care & Mobility, and my wife worked 2 days a week, and is in receipt of carers allowance.

She has lost her job today and we are in a bit of a quandary as to what to do.

Do I need to inform DWP?

Does she need to inform anybody?

We are going to lose £100 per week and I am wondering if there was anyway of softening the financial blow, job seekers possibly.

Any advice gratefully received?

Your wife needs to contact the Carers unit to tell them she is no longer working.

As to other benefits that you can claim, put your information into one of the online benefit calculators.
