We recorded my PIP face to face and thank god we did, I will NEVER do a face to face without recording it as our recording shows that what I said was repeatedly lied about in his report; Two examples:
1) HP....Do you go shopping?
Me ..... No, I do not go shopping due to my walking difficulties due to multi joint arthritis
HP's Report .... Claimant goes shopping and anywhere else
2) HP....Do you use a bath or a shower?
Me .....I have not used a bath for over ten years as it is difficult for me to get in and out, I always use a shower, with a little help from my wife it is the much easier option.
HP's Report ....Claimant uses a bath though with some difficulty

Lynn, I could go on and on and on about how this low down lying scumbag lied and misrepresented me on every level. He told me to lean on the desk and/or use my stick to balance on each leg, which I did wobbling about and his report read that I did it "independently without a problem" while I had one hand on the desk and my stick in the other, when I was at school interdependently meant without support!.......Oh and then there was the tiptoes test, my heels did not lift more than half an inch from the ground as verified by my wife and of course put in his report that I stood fully on tip toes like some Barbarella........I cannot emphasise how furious my wife and I were when we read the report written by a paid assassin , When we transcribed the recording we found that he had failed to ask about 3 of my conditions at all, despite having them listed in front of him! He weponised the word OK using it to shut me up anytime I mentioned words like "pain" "discomfort" ...........Lynn I strongly advise you record it otherwise it will be a your word against theirs situation, also you would struggle to recall what HP said and even yourself given the stressful situation. but give them plenty of prior notice to record , We used two identical tape recorders new, designed like the old ones from the 70's but If you use this type use an external mic on each as the internal mic picks up internal noise from the mechanism ...........I am going to get 2 identical digital voice recorders for clarity which I believe is acceptable but obviously I will have to give the HP one of them at the end. If you have a home visit you will probably lose it when you mention recording it as happened to us and will be sent to one of their god awful assessment centres where CCTV will monitor your every move from the moment you get out the car.
.....Bear this in mind too, we are going to interject where we see fit to say, for example...... "For the benefit of the recording Marks heels have raised no more than half an inch.......does the HP agree?"
