Length of ESA award.

Hi there.
My son has received his review of ESA and been given the support Group again,which is good.
However, like his first award, there is no time limit stated on it. No " short, medium or long term". All it states is, he will receive the award as long as he is entitled............Can he call them and ask how long the award is for at the same time he asks for an ESA85?

Thanks Gordon... I thought that might be the case. It's just I have read some people in the forum say,they had their ESA award given for a "short,medium term etc"......He had a huge problem last year. with a new assessment form going astray and them stopping his award because he had not returned the form....problem was, he never received it in the first place......and,as his last award stated the same " as long as you are entitled" he didn't obviously know when to expect an review. Making sure the same thing doesn't happen again............ Funny that we have to prove to them we didn't recieve something,which they know you can't but woe betide you, if you sent something to them and didn't get proof of postage..... Ah well, it's all a learning curve........ Once bitten and all that....

Hi,I phoned DWP today,40 minute wait,and they were able to tell me exactly how long my ESA was awarded for.I was very relieved as I rarely can cope with talking to the DWP.
