ESA capability for work form was created by Jennifer
Hi I get pip but recently I got sent the ESA work capability form for the first time (I've been getting ESA support group for a couple years including disability premiums). I stupidly just filled in the form without using your guides. Should I contact ESA and tell them I filled the form in wrong and/or send them another form? Because I could lose my premiums and be put in the wrag group? Because I didn't think too much when I wrote in the form?
Also re. Pip, I never applied for help getting around because at the time it was impossible to get awarded this for mental health issues. So am I right in thinking I'll just have to wait until the renewal happens before I can apply for this?
Thanks

If you have submitted an ESA50 then I think it unlikely that you will be allowed to submit a second one.
I would write a letter, explaining why the information on the ESA50 you submitted is incorrect and detailing your problems as they should have been documented, try and stick to the same format as the ESA50 so that the two can easily be read side by side.
Take a copy to any assessment you are asked to attend and ask the assessor to read it and include it in your file before they return it the DWP. I would also send a copy directly to the DWP office dealing with your claim/
As to the PIP, I think you have misunderstood the criteria, even with all of the changes it was still possible to receive a Mobility award for mental health issues. You have two options, report a change now or wait until you are reassessed, in either case this will be a full reassessment of your claim, new form and almost certainly a face to face assessment.

hi Gordon thank you for your reply..I've done what you suggest plus I phoned them and they said that everything is fine..they also said that for people with mental health issues there is no deadline for returning work capability questionnaires. Although the letter said I had a month to reply.

That's incorrect, the deadline still applies but the DWP will accept a late return from some, but not all claimants with mental health issues.
