Hi, I was reassessed for ESA recently (I have been in the Support Group for several years) and had my F2F assessment on the 17th of January. On Friday I received a letter and I am not sure if it is an award letter. The letter is three pages long. It says - "YOUR CLAIM FOR EMPLOYMENT AND SUPPORT ALLOWANCE CHANGES IN THE EMPLOYMENT AND SUPPORT ALLOWANCE RATES PAYABLE We have looked at your claim again following a recent change. From 9 April 2018 some Social Security benefits may change. From 3 February 2018 your Employment and Support Allowance will be £188.00 a week This is because of: a decision on your capability for work. You have been placed in the Support Group. From 14 April 2018 your ESA will be £191.45 a week. You meet the eligibility criteria for the Support Group...." The letter then goes on to say that "If you think this decision is wrong please get in touch with us by telephone or in writing within one month of the date of this letter". and says that I can appeal against the decision and have a Mandatory Reconsideration" Is this an award letter? I am too afraid to call them up and ask.
It does sound like a Decision Letter although almost all ESA letters are confusing, you can conform the award by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim.
