My Daughter will be 16 in May and I have made an application to be her appointee. I received a letter Tuesday informing me that someone from the DWP will be coming to see me and My Daughter on Friday. Can anybody advise will this person determine if I am 'fit' to be her appointee or will they be asking questions regarding her medical condition - I want to be ready for any eventuality? Grateful for any advice.
They will have to ask questions about her conditions to understand whether she needs an appointee but they are not assessing whether she still meets the criteria for DLA, so the interview will decide whether you are fit to be her appointee but whether she needs one in the first place.
