In response to the recent reports in the media concerning blatant lies being told by HP's in their reports to the DWP, I would like to suggest that further action can be taken. In the case that the health professional conducting the assessment is a registered nurse, the matter should be reported to the NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council) for breach of their code of conduct which states that they should complete all records accurately and without any falsification. Needless to say the HP's report is likely to be found unreliable on appeal if the NMC investigate the complaint and take action against the HP.
