Hi all this is my first post so please bear with me. I recently applied for pip for the first time and was awarded standard rate care after my f2f on 1st feb. I also applied for esa in dec when my ssp stopped. Ive been on assessment rate since 26th dec and filled in the esa50 and sent back to dwp on 12th feb. I called them today for an update and they said something along the lines of its with the decision maker and I should get a letter in a week or so. I havent been called for a f2f for this thou so am wondering if they may of just used my info from form, supporting evidence i sent along with my recent pip assessment. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
It's unusual for a claimant not to have to attend a face to face on a new claim for ESA but it is not unprecedented. You cannot be found Fit for Work without an assessment so if they are saying that the next stage is a Decision then they are talking about an award of wither the WRAG or the Support Group.
