We used the guides and adapted them individually for my son's ESA assessment. The assessment forms are complex and the whole experience was traumatic for all involved. Claimant's who have no representation are like lambs to the slaughter. My husband assisted in this claim and assessment and the nurse's response changed visibly as he walked in and was suited/booted with notebook in hand. We have not been requested to comment on the process, but will have to go through the whole experience again in a year's time. I suggest that if claimants have a harrowing experience regarding their assessment that they report their assessor to the appropriate registering body eg NMC for a nurse. I am a health care professional in a hospital and if I behaved in this manner I would be without a job!
