I have just recieved the dreaded PIP I am 68 yrs of age and had DLA indefinite I read that they wish for you to send supporting evidence what does this entail, or they will have to pay to apply for the evidence my specialist nurse and doctor has said they will support me still not sure what they want from me? I do not want to send out my record of drs appointments etc. surly there job is to gather information not mine I can only tell them why i am forced to reapply very upset and confused please help me lindy honey

I would not rely on the DWP or the assessor sourcing any evidence from your GP or other medical contacts, there is no legal requirement for them to do this and in the vast majority of claims they don't.
It's important to understand that the criteria for PIP is very different from DLA so you really need to think about how you might support your claim so please make sure that you have a good read of our PIP Claim guide.
