MR Letter was created by AURA16
Hi I wanted to know what information I need to put in my MR request letter. I have a letter from CAB which they done for me but it's very basic and wasn't sure if more info was needed about myself and health issues. I got refused PIP as I only got awarded 6 points. I have till 21st March to reply back. The letter from DWP took 14 days till I actually received it by post. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

You can either make a simple request saying that you will send more information when you have it, they will give you four weeks to do this although this time includes postage., or you can send a detailed letter now.

On either case you yo need to explain why you meet the criteria for an award and why the assessors opinions are incorrect.

There is a template letter in the Submissions PDF in the PIP area.

There are various reasons you may have failed;

- you may have failed to document your limitations in sufficient detail
- you may have misunderstood the criteria you need to meet
- you may have failed to document how aids can assist you or indeed that you cannot use them, the same for help from someone else
- lastly if your conditions are variable, you may have failed to show that you are effected for the majority f days,
