I suffer from severe and ongoing depression, would be advisable to ask for an extension to return the PIP form? I am finding it hard going and very long. What do the moderators and other users think about this?

If you are struggling to complete the form by the required date then ask for an extension, use the phone number on the letter that accompanied the form.

Don’t be scared about asking for an extension, tne staff are very helpful. I was given an extension as was mid cancer scare when the forms arrived. Was given a further 2 weeks and more time was offered.
