Me again. Sorry for asking another question but trying to get our ducks in a row.
If my child is refused PIP on the change over from DLA and I am no longer able to claim carers for her, will this trigger a change over to UC?

Not in the terms that you have asked, however, if your CA stops then any Income Support will also cease, so UC may be your only option for income.

Not in the terms that you have asked, however, if your CA stops then any Income Support will also cease, so UC may be your only option for income.

Thank you Gordon. I don't claim IS. Could I revert back to being on partners ESA? Would this trigger a UC migration?

Sorry confused. If you were on your husbands ESA claim, why are you not still on it?
The only reason you would need to make a claim for UC would be if you have to make a new claim for any of the benefits that it covers, your husband being paid ESA(IR) is not a new claim.

Sorry I wasn't very clear. I am on the ESA claim but carers is deducted. Does this mean if I stop claiming CA the ESA amount will go increase and does it happen automatically or will I have to inform them?

Contact the DWP office dealing with his claim, the deduction will be removed from his ESA.
