DLA to PIP

DLA to PIP was created by TwistedWitch
My DLA is due on Weds next week and therefore is paid early on Friday because it's a Bank Holiday. I just checked my Bank and it's in and it still says DLA.... am I right in assuming if it says DLA and not PIP that a decision has either not yet been reached, or that this might be my last payment as I understand they pay you for 4 weeks after a decision has been reached if they give you no award? I attended a F2F on 12th November and at the time was quoted 4 weeks for a decision..... Monday (Christmas Eve) will be 6 weeks from that assessment.

I know I could telephone but I wouldn't handle bad news over the phone. I just wondered if the letters DLA on the payment mean what I think. Sorry to be a pest.

Members have been reporting eight weeks for a PIP Decision at the moment, whatever the Decision there is a four week run-on of your DLA before it stops.

So even if they do grant me PIP I would still get 4 weeks of DLA before it changes over to PIP?

I assumed that from when decision was made, if it was in my favour and I was awarded PIP that the next payment I received would be PIP and not DLA.
