I have been on ESA since 2006 and in support group since it was introduced. I was last assessed with a face to face in April 2016. I am still on 18 month reviews and have just received my ESA50.
As I haven’t improved in all this time, I am thinking of highlighting this and state that I am highly unlikely to do so after all this time. My hope would be to get an indefinite award and be exempt from future reassessments. Especially as I am now 61! But having read Gordons answer to similar query regarding 29 September 2017 ruling ( #225648 see below), would that trigger another f2f?
“It's not a ruling but a change to DWP operational procedures and was put in place last year but one of the pre-requisites is that a further assessment is done to see whether the claimant meets the criteria to be exempted from further assessment.”
You are already undergoing the assessment process if you have received a new ESA50, a face to face interview can be part of that process but it is not a required one.
To be exempted you will need to meet specific criteria, see
