PIP assessment - Home Visit Cancelled Twice was created by daniel
Hi I was due to have my pip assessment on Friday 01/03/19 this was cancelled due to staff illness by Capita and rescheduled for today 04/03/19 this was also cancelled and no explanation was given. They have now scheduled it for Wednesday 06/03/19 .
This has had quite a serious affect on my health as i just want to get it over and done with as i suffer severe depression and anxiety I am unable to stop worrying about it and having trouble sleeping etc. this has also caused me to self harm. How often can capita cancel the assessment? and what are my chances that it will go ahead on Wednesday?

I'm afraid there is no limit to the number of times that Capita can cancel,
You should consider making a complaint
Complaining to the PIP Assessment Providers
If the new appointment is cancelled then you can also involve your MP
Contacting your MP

Well assessment took place as planned today , assessor arrived on time.
The assessment itself was quite an ordeal but at least thats it over and done with.
I am not sure it went that well as the assessor was trying to prompt me to say things that contradicted what i had written on the form. I tried to speak up as much as i could to get my difficulties across but as i had no one to attend the assessment with me i dont feel i made a good enough job of it.
at the end of the assessment the assessor said she would write up the report and send it to DfC , who would then request information from the specialists on the form and then it would go to a decision maker for a decision. she also remarked that it wouldn't be an easy decision. ( this statement makes me think that the assessment didnt go well).
after this i had asked if the additional information i gave her needed sent to DfC she said it didnt need to be she had made a note of it. do you think this is the case or should i send it on anyways ?
My difficulties are depression , anxiety and mobility problems with legs and feet. I am awaiting counselling , psychiatry and physiotherapy appointments at the minute but have not seen any specialists other than my G.P and podiatry. Previously had counselling, CBT therapy and psychiatry for my last bout of depression / anxiety roughly 4 years ago.

We have seen a delay in PIP Decisions and we are now quoting 10 weeks, I don't know whether NI is also affected.
I think it unlikely that your medical contacts will be contacted now but it is not impossible.
I would send a copy of the information to the DfC, the address should be on the letters you have received about your PIP.
The DfC are not releasing the assessment report until a Decision has been made.
