confused about HP comments was created by joe
Hi all, i have the hp report and would like some advice please.
I suffer with depression and anxiety due to heart failure and attended a psychologist.
However in the report the HP states "NO SPECIALIST INPUT FOR MENTAL HEALTH"
Surely this is wrong and is grounds for an appeal????

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

You say "attended" do you still see the Psychologist?
If one of the reasons that you are unable to complete one or more of the PIP activities is due to your mental health issues, if it is then this would be an issue to raise as part of your MR.

I attended for 2 years and have an open appointment now to see him whenever i need.
I feel that this is "specialist input for mental health""
Yes Gordon my mental health does affect my pip activities and the HP has given no points to me and states "he presented as calm and relaxed"

i last seen him about 2 yrs ago, i decided to give it a break as was getting very little out of it.
So decided to go down the medication route and was prescribed anti depressant by heart nurse and gp.
As i said before i can go back to see psycologist anytime.

I'm afraid you are not going to like it but I have to agree with the assessor if you have not seen the Psychologist for two years then you are not currently receiving specialist input and you need to change your approach to explaining your problems. Do you take any prescribed medication for your mental health issues?
